Apparently they've started stocking size 4's in most UK High Street shops.

Is this just catering for a larger range of people, or is it to cater for more and more people losing weight to look like celebrities?

larger range of people.
i have a size 4 waist and a lot of jeans etc gape there, which is highly unattractive.

and i can categorically say i am not losing weight to look like any celebrity. plus, i'm healthy.

sizes are getting bigger - what we're now calling a 14 was a 16 a few years ago, so what we now call a 4 would've been a 6 a few years ago.

But I don't think anyone can say they buy all the same sizes anyway. One shops' 8 could be a different shops' 12.
